Information session for people with disability and their carers - Hosted by Fair Trading and Disability Advocacy NSW Central West

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) means people with disability now have choice and control when using their support funding to buy products and enter into contracts with service providers.

Knowing about your consumer rights will be empowering!

Our information session will offer information and advice about consumer rights to help people make this transition. It will be a combination of workshop and presentation to engage people with disabilities and carers in a conversation about what to think about before hiring a service, how to ask for what you need when entering into contracts with service providers and how to speak out or make a complaint if you are not getting what you are paying for. We will also be covering how to help protect yourself from scammers!

Disability Advocacy will also deliver information about how they can assist and advocate for people with a disability.
